AIF Presidents Offer Prayers at the Coronation
AIF Presidents offer prayers at the Coronation
This weekend we saw and celebrated the coronation of the monarch and the ceremony of crowning the new king, a ceremony we have heard much about because of King Charles III’s desire to be inclusive and ecumenical by including of people from other denominations, faiths and traditions, and I'm sure that the eagle-eyed amongst AIF Members will have spotted whilst watching the coronation that we had two of AIF’s three Presidents offering prayers for the new King during the service – Cardinal Vincent Nichols and Revd Dr Helen Cameron.
What a beautiful moment it was, and is, to see ecumenical unity happen in this way... and if you have read our previous post,
The Coronation and Interchurch Families - A Symbolic Alignment, then you'll get a little flavour of why seeing these things happen in this way are so important, and why to hve our presidents there makes it even more symbollically important for us too.
